Mounting the Radiators

Then, using a couple of Phobya radiator stands I was able to mount two radiators, positioned with the fans pulling through air from left to right. I now had to fabricate a whole new motherboard tray to accommodate the sheer size of the SR-2 motherboard.

The standard 335 x 350mm tray had to be removed and replaced with an extended version, which measured 365 x 395mm. However, this had the knock on effect of extending the standard 840 rails that enable the tray to slide in and out.

It was pretty easy to fix this, as I simply needed to adjust the height of the top rail with a bit of cutting and riveting in a new little bracket. It looked a little rough, but it still had to be stripped down and powder coated. Overall, I was happy with the fit, and the tray is still removable if necessary.
